15 1/2 Weeks {Weight GAIN During Pregnancy!}

How far along? 15 1/2 weeks

Total weight gain/measurements: -1 pound this week, so +6 pounds total
Maternity clothes: Both
Stretch marks? No new ones
Best moment this week: Hearing the heartbeat.. had a little bit of a scare and couldnt find it on my "at home" machine. But 20 minutes later.. i found it! Such a relief
Miss anything? Not really.
Movement:  I get the little butterflies occasionally but yesterday i swear i felt more of a thud, or an actual movement! 
Food cravings: Brownies this week lol.
Anything making you queasy or sick? Poop. And seafood.
Gender: Find out in 2 weeks!
Labour signs: Nope!
Symptoms: Im sensitive this week. Acne hasnt been bad at all lately. I still have to get up and pee during the night! Wth? That was supposed to go away weeks ago haha
Belly button in or out? In!
Wedding rings on or off? On!
Happy or moody most of the time: Sensitive.
Looking forward to: Working out more and finding out what baby is in 2 weeks!

Where does the weight go?:
  • Baby: 7-8 pounds
  • Placenta: 1-2 pounds
  • Amniotic fluid: 2 pounds
  • Uterus: 2 pounds
  • Maternal breast tissue: 2 pounds
  • Maternal blood : 4 pounds
  • Fluids in maternal tissue: 4 pounds
  • Maternal fat and nutrient stores: 7 pounds
How much total should you gain?
  • 25-35 pounds if you were a healthy weight before pregnancy, with a BMI of 18.5-24.9.
  • 28-40 pounds if you were underweight before pregnancy with a BMI of less than 18.5.
  • 15-25 pounds if you were overweight before pregnancy with a BMI of 25-29.9.
  • 11-20 pounds if you were obese before pregnancy with a BMI of over 30.
Break it down:
Healthy weight before pregnancy:
  • 1-4.5 pounds during the first trimester
  • Approximately 1-2 pounds per week in the second trimester
  • Approximately 1-2 pounds per week in the third trimester
